Weckl's new Sabian line sounds unbelievable!!
Super sensitive to the touch along with some great new sounding cymbals (love the one with the large holes in it).

Friday night we heard Dave play with his band along with the new Sabians. Words are hard to find but this was some serious exploration of uncharted territory.

Yeah the NAMM show was cool. I still favor Ziljian over Sabian.
Had a chance to meet some houseofdrumming fans at the show, that was very cool. Getting recognized from the site doesn't occur hardly ever but the couple of guys I met were very enthusiastic. Its nice to actually speak with someone and get feedback instead of seeing the stats on the traffic page.
HOD webmaster Bill Griffith flew out and stayed the weekend, we had a blast. We saw Toss Panos with Landau on Friday, then Saturday we hit NAMM and then Vinnie at the Potato. Wish I had more pics for the site but I think the ones we did get are very cool. I want a digital camera!!

Outstanding pics!!!! Wish I could have been there. Have any of you guys seen the latest Zildjian Contest in the March issue of Modern Drummer? Three lucky winners get an all expense paid trip to the Zildjian Headquarters and get to meet Vinnie. Also there is a promotional video featuring Vinnie and a complete cymbal setup. Pretty nice.

Yes I've seen that video in its entirety. The production is top-notch. Vinnie plays 2 tunes from that Jing Chi CD. The tunes were OK.
Cool video though.
